Travel Portland and Port of Vancouver USA get award nods
Happy times here at GB over the past month. The work our team has been doing was recently recognized by two industry groups for awards in tourism and port authorities. The 2011 tradeshow booth for Travel Portland earned an award from the AMA Portland Chapter for best B2B Integrated Marketing Campaign. This award recognized Portland Live, the live tradeshow experience we created for Travel Portland, where we brought a live experience of Portland to trade show attendees in St. Louis, using iPads as cameras, Ustream as the video broadcast app, and four displays in the booth.
And, hot off the presses last week, the centennial campaign we developed in partnership with our client for the Port of Vancouver USA was just recognized by the American Association of Port Authorities for an AAPA Award of Excellence in Overall Campaigns. This is a national award, recognizing ports across the country, so we’re very proud that the POV received this recognition among its peers. This was a multi-media campaign that utilized a centennial logo, port and traveling display signage, PR, advertising, and a Centennial website, and helped commemorate the port’s 100 years serving Vancouver and the community. Congrats to Travel Portland, the Port of Vancouver USA, and the Griffins at GB who all contributed to make these campaigns wildly successful.
