Introducing Kaylee Wolf, GB’s New Assistant Account Manager
Meet Kaylee Wolf, our new Assistant Account Manager. A University of Oregon grad, Kaylee brings a passion and talent for collaboration, strategy, and storytelling to Grady Britton, making her a perfect fit for our team and clients. Before she joined our agency, Kaylee worked with Social Enterprises, Inc., where she started out as an intern, rising through the ranks to become Senior Event Coordinator and, eventually, Communications Outreach Coordinator. Suffice it to say, she’s ambitious. Plus, she writes a hell of an email. Who could say no to that combination?
As we have with our other recently hired team members, we asked Kaylee ten getting-to-know you questions in signature GB style:
GRADY BRITTON: What drew you to Grady Britton?
KAYLEE WOLF: I knew I wanted to work for an employer that cared about their staff as much as their clients. I heard nothing but good things about GB “on the streets” and I really wanted to work for another B Corp. I wanted to be somewhere who did kick-ass, inspiring work, but also supported the idea of work–life balance. I know it sounds silly, but I honestly just got the best vibe when I came in for my interviews. The people who are here are so warm and welcoming, and it’s great to be around people who are passionate about what they do! The office cats and dogs were a huge plus, too!
What do you hope to accomplish in 2017?
I’m currently in the process of teaching myself how to cook. I’m a huge extrovert, so I’m also finding fun things to do with my alone time.
What is your favorite Portland hangout?
See See’s Coffee and Motorcycles. For all your coffee and motorcycle needs. ;) I also love just doing a park and walk through the Alberta and Mississippi neighborhoods for some vintage finds at Animal Traffic or a drink at The Rambler.
What is your greatest irrational fear?
I am both terrified and fascinated by sharks and alligators. I want to see one up close from a boat at some point in my life, but every time I’m in any body of water I’m super scared of them and always look over my shoulder.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I’m really good at making omelettes.
What are you currently binge-watching?
Right now I’m binge-watching Golden Girls. It’s such a great show because it’s funny but the women have great advice, and each episode ends on a heart-warming note. I also really relate to Betty White’s character (Rose).
What gets you up in the morning?
I love being nice to people! I know it sounds weird, but feeling like I helped someone or made their day a little easier is such a satisfying feeling. I want to be one of the people that proves to others that you don’t have to be an a-hole to get ahead in the world.
Is there any food you can’t or won’t eat?
I can’t eat a lot of fruit. It’s a texture issue. Anything that’s too squishy makes me cringe! When I was a kid I used to lie to the cafeteria lady and tell her I was allergic to bananas, but they’re just my least favorite fruit.
Where is your favorite place you’ve visited in the world?
Oxford. It’s so magical—everything is covered in ivy and they have the best library.
Dogs or cats?
While I’m in love with my boyfriend’s cat Monster, you may be able to tell from the Corgi calendar on my desk what my favorite animal is…
