We couldn’t be more excited to announce that our agency’s mission just got even more real.
The headline-worthy news is this: Grady Britton is joining forces with fellow B Corp and Portland agency, Mad Fish Digital. Two values-led, mission-oriented brand and marketing companies united — with perfectly complementary skills and heart — as Mad Fish acquires Grady Britton.
For clients, the true end-to-end possibilities are officially off the charts. GB’s brand development and expression, rounded out with Mad Fish’s robust, applied digital expertise — native digital strategy, SEO, SEM, measurement, analytics, etc. For the cultures of both agencies, an injection of talented people, inspired professionals at the tops of their game.
“The talent and work that has been created at Grady Britton is second to none for thoughtfulness, innovation, impact, and creativity,” says Mad Fish CEO Ben Herman. “From our perspective, combining Mad Fish and Grady Britton, an agency of people also committed to making real change with their work, has the greatest potential for savvy clients to make lasting impact in their categories. Our business approaches align unusually well and has us confident and excited about the rewarding work this union will inspire for our collective teams, clients and communities.”
With Mad Fish and Grady Britton combining under the ownership of Corrie and Ben Herman, our agencies will operate as strategic partners in the near term with Paige Campbell staying in the role of President at Grady Britton, and Andy Askren as Creative Director. The acquisition will bring together a combined team of 47 people distributed over 10 states and headquartered in Portland.
Both agencies are certified B Corporations, sharing a commitment to the triple bottom line that values people, planet, and profit. Grady Britton was the first Portland creative agency to be certified in 2015, with Mad Fish following in 2018.
We’re happy to say that Grady Britton continues on — everything we currently do, we’ll keep doing. Mad Fish will be moving business forward on their end. We’ll meet in the middle where it makes sense to; we’ll collaborate when it's called for.
Now more than ever, our agency is poised to do good on an even greater scale. Thanks for joining us.
