Recognizing that people had been cutting back on screenings because of the recession, The Oregon Clinic wanted to find a way to remind adults that while colon cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in the U.S., screening can detect pre-cancerous polyps and save lives. Ultimately our objective was to increase cancer screening appointments.
In conjunction with Colon Cancer Awareness month, we kicked off the Rock Stars of Gastroenterology TV spots — which dubbed GI specialists as “awesome in a white coat” (it’s hilarious… you should watch it right now).
Just recently The Oregon Clinic measured the success of the campaign. Good news: clinics reported a 60% jump in screening colonoscopy appointments between March and September of last year!
