People in the Army forfeit their first amendment rights — so no, I don’t imagine they let anyone say anything there, much less anyone post something that could be construed as anti-war. If they were doing this, then yes, it would be free of restrictions, and no filters.. So I really challenge your statement that this is open. Of course they are protecting their ‘brand’ and would remove anything remotely questioning of the overall reasons why we are engaged in endless war without even a clear attainable goal.

We were surprised to hear the comment about openness on the MarketingProfs seminar as well. Since we’re not involved in the blog, we’re not privy to the actual policies the Army put out around this project. But looking at the terms of use posted on their site (see below), the Army appears to reserve some editorial rights on the content posted. How far or how often they exercise this is the great question you pose. How much filter do they apply? We’d be interested in knowing as well.

    Thanks for the comment.
