Rebecca used to be in the circus. The real circus. Not even the one we pretend not to have here everyday. (Lots of double negatives, but you get it.) We'll let her tell you about it:
"Ever wondered what life would be like if you quit your day job and ran away with the circus? Full of adventure, dazzling people, travels to exotic places, a circus ring perfumed with animals and sweaty bodies, sparkling with sequins and bright shiny costumes, with performers dancing in the air and music floating all around you? When I was in 4th grade, my family stumbled into the one-world, old-ring, big-top of Circus Flora and didn’t look back.
I got to live out the fantasy from set-up, to teardown and everything in between. I rode high above the audience on the shoulders of a unicycle rider, balanced on the bareback of a horse circling the ring, and was swept up in the magic of a little circus that could- and still does…"
Other than that, she's a well-adapted Midwestern transplant who loves fresh fruits and vegetables from the Farmers Market, bike rides in the sunshine and who can’t remember a joke to save her life. (See, now that's funny!)
